As of 1 October 2019, a new era in management begins for Acoem Environment and Acoem Australasia, with James Agius (left) becoming Acoem Australasia Managing Director and Nicholas Dal Sasso (right) becoming Acoem Environment CEO.

Acoem is consolidating its global business structure & strengthening its two major divisions – Environment & Maintenance

Acoem Environment is a special division of Acoem, a global enterprise committed to sustainable development and helping companies and public authorities limit their environmental impact. The division brings together respected leaders in the fields of environmental monitoring – Acoem Australasia (formerly known as Ecotech) and Noise and Vibration (formerly known as 01dB) – creating the first globally integrated offering of products and services across noise, vibration, air, dust, blast and water pollution monitoring.

Following recent acquisitions in July and September 2019, Acoem’s Environment team has expanded and now encompasses Acoem Australasia, Acoem UK, Acoem Noise and Vibration as well as monitoring specialists Dynoptic Systems and Tunnel Sensors, both based in the UK.

After nine years as Acoem Australasia (Ecotech) Managing Director, Nicholas Dal Sasso has been appointed as the inaugural CEO of Acoem Environment.

“Nicholas has demonstrated his exceptional skills and talent as a strategic leader and his new role is a testament to his outstanding contribution to both Ecotech and Acoem as a whole,” commented Fabien Condemine, Acoem CEO.

“Under Nicholas’ leadership, the Acoem Environment team will continue to innovate and find dynamic ways to help customers measure and significantly reduce their environmental impact,” he added.

James Agius, former Global Head of Sales & Marketing, becomes the new Acoem Australasia Managing Director.

“James is a natural leader who empowers others and is committed to growing and strengthening the market position of our gas and aerosol monitoring on a global scale,” said Nicholas.

“I am confident that James’ new role will see him take the company to new heights and further fulfil the aspirations my father had when he created Ecotech over 40 years ago.”

Both Nicholas and James will continue to be based at the Acoem Australasia head office in Melbourne, Australia.
