Ecotech embarks on a mining mission to peru
Ecotech was one of nine Australian companies to attend the recent Austrade Mining Mission to Peru.
Mines which are operated by Newmount, Milpo and Xstrata Copper were visited, providing the Austrade mission with the opportunity to view mining processes and talk to various managers at the site. Midway through the week the Austrade mission were also joined by another Australian delegation, the Queensland Trade Mission, in Lima for a networking evening. The ability to make face to face contact with relevant managers was a rare and constructive opportunity for Ecotech, providing a deep insight into the activities and issues that mine sites and managers in Peru face.
Missions like these are important for companies wanting to launch into new international markets It would be difficult to plan these visits individually and Austrade should be congratulated for their dedication and hard work in organising the mission. As a result of this particular Mining Mission, Ecotech was able to make personal contact with a wide range of relevant people within the Peruvian mining industry, giving Ecotech a head start in growing its business relations with Peru.
